AAFA Published New RSL Version 21

The AAFA RSL is continuously being re-evaluated and amended as new information on chemicals emerge and new regulations go into effect. As of March 2, 2020, AAFA released the 21st edition of the RSL with updates including 12 categories and over 250 chemicals. “Consumers deserve clothes, shoes, and other fashion items that reflect their personal style and meet the highest safety standards no matter where they live,” said Steve Lamar, CEO of the American Apparel & Footwear Association. “AAFA’s RSL task force is focused on maintaining a resource that not only ensures safe chemical management but ultimately protects our consumers. Chemical management is an important part of a responsible and compliant supply chain. As such, we continue to provide our RSL as an open-industry resource to the industry.”
