How has being multilingual helped you help suppliers? Some of the suppliers do not speak English and not familiar with the Conflict Minerals Law, it definitely helped being able to explain it and walk them through the process in their native language.

Whats your favorite food? Without a doubt, “Lahp” i.e. a Cambodian dish consisting of minced meat and mixed with chili, mint and fresh herbs.

When did the United States adopt GHS?
The U.S. officially adopted GHS when the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) section 1910.1200 has been updated to align with the UN Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS), Revision 3, issued in the Federal Register, March 26, 2012. This rule became effective May 25, 2012. OSHA is phasing in the new requirements over the next several years (December 1, 2013 to June 1 2016).

The best way to educate your suppliers on Conflict Minerals is with the web-based training program available through the Conflict Minerals Resource Center (CMRC). The CMRC’s Conflict Minerals Basic Training course is an interactive training course covering the content necessary for someone to participate in a Conflict Minerals program.
